Abstract

The intent of my policy proposal is to ensure that Language Arts teachers have adequate professional development training in integrating iPad usage in the classroom. There is a valid need for establishing and implementing a policy to drive the expectations and requirements for the incorporation and integration of technology throughout the Language Arts grades 9-12 curriculum and instruction. The same is true for the technology tools used by Language Arts teachers. I believe a clearly defined policy should articulate essential expectations for all staff members as well as the kind of support school leaders must provide to ensure defined best practices are understood and incorporated in classroom practice.
