Abstract Reflecting on my doctoral experience, I realize how much I was influenced in the field of art. For this presentation I define “art” as filling a space in a beautiful way. While I am sometimes conflicted to introduce myself as an artist, I believe everyone who completed their Critical Engagement Project (CEP) is an artist. After all, isn’t writing an art? Each word, each paragraph we wrote filled a space in a beautiful way. In this session let’s identify how we contribute to life as an artist and review strategies to refill our creative well. Then take an indoor art-walk to view pieces based on my experiences yesterday, today, and tomorrow. As a concluding activity, learn about art journals and renew your artistic self in starting your own. A handout focused on one of my artistic doctoral experiences will also be available.
