Abstract

The intent of my study is to explore the effective use of professional development and instructional practices to support teacher integration of technology in a one-to-one iPad high school environment. The ultimate aim is to move the school from a traditional learning culture to an integrated technology based one. The study focuses on the language arts content area iPad integration at Wentworth High School (a pseudonym). The school’s original attempt to integrate iPad use was not effective due to inadequate staff support. I used the Wagner et al. (2006) “4 Cs Diagnostic Tool” structure to study this issue. This included an examination of the current context, culture, condition and competencies of the school involved in the process
